Pastor Whitaker and Sis Rachel

Our pastor Dr. John Whitaker(affectionately known as Bro John), is a man devoted to the preaching and teaching of God's Word contained in the Authorized King James Bible.  Bro. John has faithfully served Gospel Baptist for 8 yrs as of May 2010.

He is a  Bible Institute Instructor, Church planter and former Evangelist. He is married to Rachel and they have 5 children between them. Bro John  has three children, John Jr.(16), Tyler(15), Marissa(13) Rachel has two children, Jen(19) and Kristin(16).  They have two pets--Prissy(Schnauzer), Gus(Boston Terrier named after GSU mascot).

Pastor Whitaker preaches to expose modern day heresy's and preaches the Word of God to encourage Christians to live and maintain a Holy life that is pleasing to the Lord.  Pastor Whitaker believes in edifying the saints of God and evangelizing the lost with the Gospel of Christ.  Also, our pastor enjoys the opportunity to minister to those who have been hurt or discouraged by other churches or ministries.   Family, Marital and Personal counseling is offered by Bro.
